Brewfest / Oktoberfest 2023

Location:  Ole Pike Drive @ Mossy Creek Drive (In the cove)

This event is the single most requested event by GENA residents!  GENA invites you to join us for this year's Brewfest / Oktoberfest.  GENA will have SEC Football playing on TV(s) and GENA will be serving hotdogs, brats, chips, condiments, Smores, and water!  There will be a fire pit too!

Bring your chairs, any yard games you may want to play with others (ie. Corn Hole, etc), a 6 pack of your favorite beer or a bottle of your favorite wine, or your favorite non-alcoholic beverage and come join us in the cove for an opportunity to mix and mingle with your fellow neighbors.  There will be large beverage tubs provided, come and place your favorite beverages in those tubs to share and help yourselves (21+) in trying other peoples favorites as well.

*Reminder: GENA does not ever buy alcohol for any reason.  Therefore no membership dues are ever used for purchasing alcohol.  This is a family friendly event.  As always, please drink responsibility and you must be 21+ to consume alcoholic beverages.
Halloween Neighborhood Event 2022

GENA would like to invite you to bring your children for hotdogs, chips, waters, and of course candy to get your trick-or-treating adventure off to a good start!  There will be a few games for the smaller children but everyone is invited!

Happy Halloween and please be safe!  Use common sense, Flashlights, Light-up costumes, and always use the buddy system!  Do not hesitate to report any suspicious activity to the police.

Santa's Visit 2023

GENA invites you and your children to join us for Santa's Visit!  On December 17th, Santa will be in ole pike and moss creek cove for the good boys and girls starting at 10:00 AM ngoing to 1:00 pm so be watching come see Santa and his blue sleigh.   Hot chocolate will be provided 

Hint: Santa Loves Milk and Cookies!!!

GENA Easter Egg Hunt 2022

GENA would like to invite you to bring your children to our annual Easter egg Hunt!  There will be an Easter egg Hunt for the kids but everyone is invited!  Bring your children, grandchildren, and neighbors.  Come join us for a fun family friendly event sponsored by the Germantown East Neighborhood Association.

BBQ In The Park 2022

GENA will be providing BBQ pulled pork, Chicken, and sides for this fun event designed to get GENA members together for some good ole' southern socializing, in the beautiful neighborhood park! You don't have to bring anything but your family and an appetite.
Memorial Day 2022

Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.  Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971.  Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades. Unofficially, it marks the beginning of the summer season.  GENA invites you to celebrate with us by decorating Red, White, and Blue in honor of the men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.  
In​dependance Day - 4th of July Parade

Come join us for one of our most popular events of the year!  Paint your faces and Decorate your bikes, strollers, golf carts, side by sides, etc. and come on out to show your patriotism as we parade through the streets of GENA to the Fort Germantown Park.  There is a contest so make sure your family, rides, pets, faces, etc. are decked out in Red, White, and Blue stars and Stripes!!!  When we arrive at the park the Germantown Fire Department (GFD) usually turns on the fire hoses for the children to play in the water so come prepared for the fun.  (The GFD is on call so their participation is always pending availability and call volume at the time of the parade.)  Germantown Police Department usually sends us an escort as well with he same avaliability stipulations.  Thank you first responders for your hard work and dedication!  



Labor Day 2022

Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers (it’s traditionally observed on the first Monday in September).  It was created by the labor movement in the late 19th century and became a federal holiday in 1894.  Labor Day also symbolizes the end of summer for many Americans, and is celebrated with parties, parades and athletic events.

Labor Day, an annual celebration of workers and their achievements, originated during one of American labor history’s most dismal chapters.

Germantown Night Out 2022 - Pizza Party

As many of you may know, Germantown has its own version of the “National Night Out” which always takes place the first Tuesday of October each year. 

This is a City wide event.  Some neighborhoods will be hosting a large gathering and others are getting together in small groups. 

October is Crime Prevention Month and it is a great time to recognize the people who work all year tirelessly to prevent crime.
